I took a look at the Wizard Nebula and NGC7380 last night with my AT72EDII 72mm APO reduced to f/4.3,  ASI290MM mini, ASILive, 7nm H-alpha filter and no binning, at high (300) gain.

Here is a 10 minute total exposure taken from my Bortle 4ish back yard. Click to zoom in.

NGC7380 (H-alpha); 20 x 30 sec

Ahhh... So that's what it might look like with mine if I ever get the chance. Nice!

NGC7320, NGC7319, NGC7318 711 frames 4348s (UV IR) 74min

Stephan's Quintet

Celestron C8 @ f/6.3 | ASI533MC-Pro | 10", 74', G400 | UV-IR | Live captured in SharpCap Pro and Cropped

This one is difficult to get any real details on in very short integrations.

A couple of nights in dark central Oregon with the new 8"EHD setup.

ASI533MC / .7 reducer / Little GEM28 mount / gain 160 / ex times mixed between 10-30sec

No calibration frames this time -- could have used them I think.

A really nice IC10.

I put 40 minutes on it last night with the C11 Hyperstar and did not get much.

While central Florida got hammered, northwest Florida had absolutely gorgeous weather.  I was able to spend some time with the AT72EDII and the ASI294MM-Pro to capture more of the fine targets in this month's challenge.

IC10 280 frames 4200s (UV IR) Zoomed

IC10

AT72EDII with 0.7 FF-FR | ASI294MM-Pro @ 0° C, UV-IR filter | 15", 70', G400 | Live Stacked in SharpCap Pro with Hot Pixel Removal and no flats

This one was unexpectedly interesting.  Lots of interesting details, but difficult to bring them out clearly.  I wish I'd had a chance to try the H-alpha on it as Steve did.  I found an image of IC10 in the Cambridge Atlas of Galaxies and I switched my headlamp light from white to red to green and noticed very different views with each - interesting.

M39 36 frames 288s (UV IR) WithDisplayStretch

M39

AT72EDII with 0.7 FF-FR | ASI294MM-Pro @ 0° C, UV-IR filter | 8", 5', G350 | Live Stacked in SharpCap Pro with Hot Pixel Removal and no flats

NGC457 76 frames 608s (UV IR) WithDisplayStretch

NGC457

AT72EDII with 0.7 FF-FR | ASI294MM-Pro @ 0° C, UV-IR filter | 8", 10', G350 | Live Stacked in SharpCap Pro with Hot Pixel Removal and no flats

Such a cool cluster in a really great field.  The ASI294MM-Pro gives a really nice FOV and is so easy to use on this little refractor.

NGC884, NGC869, Bas10, St2 85 frames 680s (UV IR) WithDisplayStretch

NGC884, NGC869, Basel 10 and Stock 2

AT72EDII with 0.7 FF-FR | ASI294MM-Pro @ 0° C, UV-IR filter | 8", 11', G350 | Live Stacked in SharpCap Pro with Hot Pixel Removal and no flats

I know the challenge was just for the Double Cluster, but when I centered on them I noticed in SS7 that huge Stock 2 was very nearby.  So I centered on the very small Basel 10 and captured the whole group.  I love that long arcing chain of stars between the big clusters.

NGC6960 140 frames 2100s (L eNhance) Zoomed 1

NGC6960

AT72EDII with 0.7 FF-FR | ASI294MM-Pro @ 0° C, Optolong L-eNhance filter | 15", 35', G400 | Live Stacked in SharpCap Pro with Hot Pixel Removal and no flats

Color captures are so nice, but I think this mono view is so eerie looking and captures just the wisps of the clouds without distraction.  The 294MM-Pro was able to capture the center part of the Veil, but I wanted to focus more on just this portion.

I captured the Wizard, but I was not happy with it.  I think 15" is really too short for subs with the L-eNhance and I want to try again with 30" or so.

Very nice set!  I particularly like IC10, NGC 6960, and the fabulous widefield of the Double Cluster plus bonus clusters.

I have a new EAA rig and used it for the challenge images (even when it was inappropriate .. you know the new shiny thing syndrome).  I almost forgot to post these images before the end of the month.  Select each image to get the viewing conditions.

I captured this one just before the deadline last evening (I hope).  I went way longer than I had intended, but I was getting some weird line noise and was hoping that a longer exposure would smooth it out.  Still not exactly sure where it's coming from.

Thanks for a great list of targets herseycart!
