Captured this morning in excellent 10/10 seeing and 85deg altitude. I tried deringing with layers and dodgeburn tool. Not sure why but it seems unnatural. Which one do you think looks better?

Good job on the rind. I think the unnatural look is from the sharpening being a little too aggressive.

I think it looks fine.

 

I just make a black mask and hit it with a couple of pixels of Gaussian blur. Do you lose a little detail on the very edge of the limb? Sure. But it looks way better and is super quick and easy.
