I have a pdf of a Celestron 1998 accessory Catalog. 36 pages with color pics, It has the original Ultima line of eyepieces, to give you idea of the era. The 2" 50mm Ultima is not in it. The pdf is 1.5 MB

I'm to email people a copy, but if there is an on-line library to post things that would mean I only need to it once. If you know of such a web site, let me know. Or send me a PM.

Last time I checked, it is about Cloudynights does not support posting any documents that large.

I reserve the right to end this project if I get hundreds of requests.

There is no 2" 50mm Ultima eyepiece in the original Ultima series that came in the orange striped box.  There might have been a 50mm Axiom, I'm not sure. The Axiom series came out after the Ultima and supposedly has the same optical design.  The original Ultima line has three 2" eyepieces, 45mm, 60mm, and 80mm. I have all the original Ultimas, missing only an original box for the 60mm.  I only have one Axiom 19mm but I'm not collecting the series. The Ultimas have a good enough distribution of focal lengths for me.

Anybody have an original box for a 60mm Ultima?

Opps!  I got confused. I was watching 50mm 2" Axiom on the bay... Sold for $215

Local pickup only around lunch time Denver area out by Buckley AFB. I can't say bring lunch but then it hit me, bring something for the grill and I can do that pretty quick so we split lunch.  If these don't go quick then they go classifieds they are going.

42 issues S&T, a friend of mine (my Best Man decades ago) is original recipient. Some not so hot, by far most great.  Pictures done to be representative, I pulled some ugliest in the stacked picture. They are all complete and solid, some got water recently in the roll off. Quick dry, no musty, locals understand.

37 continuous issues starting Feb. 72 through including Feb. 75.

5 more as shown, 4 1980/1 and one 97.

14 Astronomy late 90's to 2002ish all pretty nice.

Not parting, not shipping, come n get it.

EDIT: This just in: I'm adding this LINK Here to a generous kinda hidden offer inside a 'wanted' ad. It was posted about a day ago. I'm still pickup only and take it all.

Oh that's a good one, I thought it was on there somewhere.  Denver area out by Buckley Air Base. Buckley Space Base. I'm a space case and Buckley's just one letter before that.

Have a an old Telrad unit (no base) that appears to have a bad potentiometer. I don't have the energy to mess with it, but if someone wants to try to fix or needs parts it is free for the shipping costs. Includes old school factory box with the foam cutouts. I will reassemble for safe shipping.  And yes when connecting directly to the leads going to the LED / reticle it does light up. Just doesn't pass through the pot. This is an older one with actual thick glass mirror as you can see.   Anyway I got frustrated and was going to throw it away but figure someone may need some pieces of it.

Send PM for shipping costs, etc.

I don't know what any of this was with originally but some is obviously Vixen. Free for the price of shipping. It came as a bundle with some things I wanted. There is one more base that I accidentally erased the pictures of that I will retake pics of tomorrow that is a little bigger.

This is the cell back from a 114 mm newt, 140mm inner diameter. It's pretty grungy, just seeing if anyone can use it.

[edit]

The ad stated "I have heard that the light green casting is made by Seihosha and is a metal fitting used to attach the Sky Sensor 2000 to a Takahashi equatorial mount.", I have no way to verify this.

Hello!

I don't need the following "classic" accessories any more:

1) 1.25 inch Japanese prism diagonal with black smudge. Comes from a University Optics finder I think. (The eyepiece adapter looks like part of a Tak quick release system, nevertheless I am confident the diagonal is not Tak but University Optics. Some previous owner likely swapped the eyepiece adapters. )
2) scratched 1.25 inch to T2 adapter
3) 49mm lens hood (maker unknown)
4) Small Japanese Mamiya leather case (for filters? empty)
5) Vixen GP battery pack (cable cut by previous owner)

Please get in touch via PM so we can work out shipping

Cheers

I'm thinning the herd and I just can't see this Japanese Meade 226 getting much use. I picked it up for pennies so I'm happy to give it away for the cost of shipping. It is the OTA only. It originally came with a yolk type mount and I will include the mount screws for that. It offers very sharp views of the moon and planets although the view is rather small. It is .965, but I have successfully used a .965 to 1.25 hybrid diagonal. Of note is that the drop in style .965 to 1.25 adapter will not bring the scope to focus. You must either buy the hybrid diagonal or figure out a way to modify the focus tube.

I believe this is the finder bracket for an Edmund Voyager 6001 refractor.   Yours for the cost of CONUS shipping via Paypal.

Please send me a CN private message if you are interested.

I have some newspaper clippings that I found in a Unitron box from the 1950s. One describes the solar eclipse of 1954. I just can’t bring myself to throw them away. If anyone would like them I’ll mail them to you for free.

Those look like they are from a magazine such as Mechanix Illustrated.  In fact, I think I see that name in the bottom heading of one of them.

Yes, you’re correct… certainly looks that way. I hadn’t paid enough attention to the markings. Thanks!
