My school has this old refractor which was full of dust and cobwebs (for real). I've cleaned it up, removed the lenses and wiped off most of the mould. Now it needs a suitable mount and it'll be ready to go.

See if your school has a 3d printer and print rings/dovetail for whatever mount/tripod you'd like to use.

I am in a similar but different boat.
Measure the diameter and get a set of rings and a dove tail plate and tripod.
Look for used parts?
From the two screws on the side i am thinking this used to have a dedicated mount and tripod that it wing nutted to.

For me I found a site selling some reasonably priced rings, i have an extra dovetail. the mount and a few screws i have.
Your problem is you might spend more on parts than the scope is worth.

Printing is a good idea if you spend the design time and can get the parts made.
