You have to rotate the OTA. There really is no other option. I don't know why ES sells it this way.
Even if you raise it on a table, there will be an intermediate height between standing and sitting where you will have to bend over to try to look in a horizontal focuser.
I just finished rotating mine. Here is what I did.
1. Remove the 4 screws that secure the OTA tube to the ring with the truss attachment points.
2. Rotate and put it back together without the screws. I did about 35°. Most do 45°.
3. Tape the two together with some blue painters tape around the entire ring and go out and observe. I observe sitting and have an adjustable chair. If you want to observe standing, you can raise it up on some blocks to experiment with height. Then later you can make a small table.. For standing, try rotating 45°. Now if you are looking at something, say 30° above the horizon, you will be looking down at an angle into the focuser, not sitting in a chair or hunched over.
4. Once you are happy with the angle, mark the 4 new hole locations with a sharpie ( before taking off the tape) and then remove the tube and drill 4 new holes with a punch and increasing diameter bits. I clamped a block of wood to hang over a table and put the tube on that so I wasn't drilling with no support.
5. When you put it back together, the original holes will not even be visible. You could restore it to horizontal and the new holes wouldn't be visible. ( but why would you?)
Easy peasy.
