Regarding Exploradome, what are you using for a battery charger?

I use a Battery Tender.

Hi, Kathy!

Which one, please?  And one for each battery, or daisy-chained like the ED connectors set up?

Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!

I bought one from Lowe’s 1.25amp tender/charger

I’m sure mine was supposed to come with my kit from exploradome but it is what it is

I don’t have a shutter control yet, so no charging needed. This one works fine. I had to modify it a little so that the controller and tender connects to the battery at the same time

Battery Tender Jr. 12V charger/maintainer. I must own 6 or 8 of these things.

I use the Battery Tender Jr - it is what came from ExploraDome in the automation kit.

Hm.  I need to buy one.  My full automation kit from ED came with nada.  For those with shutter and rotation automation, are you using two tenders, or one and daisy chaining the batters - essentially using the ED harness to use one connection to charge both batteries?

I only use the battery on the shutter.  For rotation, I have a separate power supply since I needed 12 volts for the other equipment.

That is what I did when I used the Exploradome kit.  There was no need for a battery for rotation.

I use a separate battery for both rotation and shutter. They are both charged from the one Battery Tender. Works fine.
