G'day all,

It's taken me two years to develop the workflows to finally publish a 100% scale of any of my captures of the Vela Supernova Remnant. My best session was this one, centered roughly on the Pencil Nebula. It's more colorful than any other sky region I've captured—to include heaps of green that I would normally treat as noise but for the damage that causes to the remnant.

While the data quality is reasonable at 100% scale, my favorite framing is this crop at 65% scale:

Many thanks to BlueMoon for his probing questions this year about star color—and to Sharkmelly for his numeric insights into how a DSLR does color matching with a CCM.

Cheers,

BQ
