Hi sketchers!

Here South France we had a nice time to make a global observation of the event.

I spend my time to observe the approach of the Moon facing Mars, also made an estimation of the duration of the disparition (34,5 sec), make two pastels of the contacts (in and out) and after the last contact, I walked in the top of the hill village to make some view prior to some souvenir watercolors.

Here the pastels made directly through the eyepiece of my refractor.

Kind regards

Michel

Fabulous views coming and going Michel!  Glad you had clear skies.  Great detail on both objects.

Michel,

These are very impressive sketches of Mars and the Moon. I was taken by surprise when it was clear after being cloudy all afternoon and not predicted to clear.

Love this work.

Frank :)

Beautiful sketches, Michel! We're all very envious in the Southern Hemisphere as we didn't get the occultation! I note that your transit time of 34.5 seconds was very close to the moons angular diameter! waytogo.gif
