Konus was founded in Italy, 1979. The products are rebranded chinese made items. The Konusmotor 114/900 is a standard asian 4.5in f/8 spherical newtonian (with a included ra box drive).

UK vendor remarks

Probably made by Synta or JOC. Same as Celestron, Tasco, Meade, etc. in build and quality.

Good viewing,

Dave

Konus has been available in Germany for ages. Not as common as Bresser, but still a well known name.

I thought KONUS was strictly spotting scopes. Pete

I had a Konus 150mm F/8 refractor way back. It was exactly the same as the Skywatcher 150 F/8 except it was a bright orange/yellow colour. It was a decent example of that type of scope though and really rather cheap grin.gif
