As common as it is, I have only just managed to image M42 for the first time. Whoop!

 

Just 1 hours worth of 180s subs, plus a handful of 30s subs for the core and stars. I was going to bump up the colours and contrast some more, but I kind of like the soft natural look, so I may keep it as is for now. Its a little fuzzy - but not bad for 1 hour integration. Plus I had to rely on the ASIAIR all sky PA routine - which im not convinced is very accurate. But all-in-all? I'm very pleased.

Looks great for an hours integration! Stars look well controlled and plenty of colorful nebula to boot. Viewed it thru the LX90 a couple weeks ago and it looked amazing. I may take another whack at it when sky clears up. Good job Soojooko.

I especially like how you left some contrast at the heart, you didn’t blow it out. Very nicely done.
