Hi All,

I wanted to start this topic specifically for information from others who have used the ASIAIR pro/plus/mini with their Meade lx200gps.  I like to know how others have managed their workflow on an alt/az mount (not on a wedge), and if others have used a guide scope on an alt/az mount or just used the plate solve feature only.

A little about my setup:  I just purchased an asi air mini the other day and waiting for a clear night to test. I'm currently using a 12" f/10 LX200GPS (3048mm) with a 6.3 reducer which reduces down to (~1920mm) and using a ASI482MC camera with Bin 2x2 giving me a FOV of (0.33° x 0.19°) and (1.25"x1.25" per pixel). This is a smaller field of view for plate solving but the asiair states it can handle plate solving to as low as .20. I am not looking to do astrophotography, but only EAA as my eyesight has been getting worse in the last year or so.  I am only taking short exposures (>30secs) and plan on using the asiair live stacking feature.

I'm hoping to find others who have worked with asi air and Meade lx200gps with alt/az mount and discuss how it works for you.  Thanks everyone.  Below is my FOV from Astronomy.tools.

Ok.  Is anyone using a Meade LX200GPS with their ASI AIR Pro/Plus/Mini?  I would like to ask anyone who owns a large Meade SCT scope (~1900mm) with a FOV between 0.2° -  0.5°, using an Alt/AZ mount with no Guiding scope, can you please give us your take on how it works for you?  I'm waiting for a few parts and I want to see how others have faired with this setup.  Thank you all.
