This is my first time posting, so go easy on me and this super basic question.... 

 

I have a Celestron 6SE with the "StarSense Hand Control", basically a huge remote connected by an old-school phone cord.  The remote is always impossible to clip back into the holder on the side of the scope.  Does anyone else have this issue?  Any easy fixes that I'm overlooking?

It does get all tangled up doesn't? Especially in the dark...I bought 2" squares of Velcro and stuck one square on the back of the hand controller and the other half various places on the mount. That way I can just stick it to the mount instead of trying to find the holder. Best of luck to you!

Yes, the StarSense HC is too big and does not fit in the original 6SE shaft.

I have a 6 SE and at first it was tricky/borderline annoying however the secret lies in how you put the cord back in the holder.  In my case what works reliably is the cord goes in first down the left side then up the right to the top put the hand controller a little above it’s place and lightly press in and down.  It’s not a very elegant design from a human factors point of view IMHO.

I have a piece of self-adhesive Velcro at the top of each leg of ALL my mounts. The furry "loop" side of Velcro.

 

I put a piece of self-adhesive "hook" Velcro on the back of all my hand controllers, as well as my red LED light, a pencil for note-taking, and various other odds and ends. Super handy, and the hand controller still fits in the SE's slot if I want to put it there. You can even put a Velcro patch on your eyepiece caps so you can simply stick 'em to the top of any leg when you take them off an eyepiece.
