Hey everyone:
I recently bargained an old Celestron AVX for a very low price whose DEC axis happens to slew without control as soon as one turns on the mount, and no error message is displayed in the hand controller (this is apparently not a NO RESPONSE 16/17 error problem, or if it is, the hand controller doesn't report it). Besides, a mate has experienced lately the same issue with his Celestron NexStar SE mount, also in the DEC axis. Any ideas on how to fix them?
In the case of the AVX, one of the possible causes seems to be the L6225PD motor driver, but a broken connector can't be rule out and I have to disassemble the mount again.
In addition, the AUX port of my CGEM-DX motherboard is no longer working, so it would be great if someone could be so kind as to provide us the motherboard circuit diagrams for these mounts. Apart from fixing the ones we have, we would like to examine if further protection elements such as fuses and diodes can be incorporated to the circuits, as the price of new replacement electronic parts is getting more and more expensive and we don't want to implement homebrew electronics (OnStep and the like) on these mounts.
