Might be a good deal but will take a bunch of TLC to clean up. It's obvious that someone has monkeyed with the objective since the three spacers that separate the lens elements are not an even 120 degrees apart. Check for chips in the objective, among other things.

Reserve is $199. But within local pickup from me. Maybe I'll drive over and have a look?

Looks like it needs much TLC and knowledgeable restoration.

Faaaar beyond my feeble skills.

Interesting mount though.

Clear dark skies...

I dunno. Except for the chips in the dials, the thing looks to be in pretty good shape. The objective is dirty, with possibly a few chips near the center, but it could be just dirt (hard to tell). It doesn't look like fungus, which is good. Overall, there is mostly just a little rust here and there and one missing focuser knob. THe majority of the tripod and mount appear in great shape. I'd say if you could get it at or near the reserve price, it would be a good deal.
