To all Vendors:
The Admins have decided to come up with relaxed vendor rules for this forum only (North American Total Solar Eclipse 2024). Everywhere else on CN the standard vendor rules have stayed the same. Please read, and re-read, the new rules below:
"Due to the special and temporary nature of this forum the Administrators have agreed to relax the vendor posting rules in this forum only. Vendors are allowed to participate in any discussion on any topic and any product but they are expected to be courteous, objective, and non-promotional. Attempts to skirt these rules will result in an immediate ban. Be adults. These special rules will expire when this forum is archived, or sooner if this extraordinary privilege is abused. The Vendor rules found in the Terms of Service still apply in all other fora of Cloudy Nights.
The moderators of this forum will create a vendor thread, wherein each vendor with 2024 eclipse-related products / services will be allowed a single post containing a (maximum 500 words & this is left up to the moderators' discretion) description of their products / services and which may direct the reader's attention to a link relating to the vendor's products / services. Contact a moderator of this forum to arrange having your post included.
If you have any questions on the above please contact a moderator of this forum."
This thread is where all vendors will post brief product descriptions, and this will work as follows:
We, the mods, will open this thread up for vendors to post their product description every Sunday for approximately 24 hours. It will be locked every other day of the week. This is to allow us mods to properly manage, not only this thread, but this whole forum. There's enough for us to do every day that we can't handle an open and ever changing thread that is so not a "standard" thread.
After the passage of a month, the thread will remain locked permanently. If a vendor misses posting his post in that month they can contact a mod to schedule a time where both (the vendor and a mod) are on at the same time so that the thread can be unlocked long enough for the vendor to make his post and then locked again. We will not be allowing changes/edits to your posts so please make sure to say what you want the first time.
