After an absolutely abysmal winter in Texas I am hopeful (but not believing it) that spring will be better.

Sorry, I bought some stuff in November 😂😂
In Europe we had less than 10% clear skies, so hopefully spring and summer will excellent.

Well, I am back in Zambia and there was no rainfall for the three weeks prior to our return.  But obviously arriving home with an EAF and a couple of filters changed that and we have had rains and clouds every night for over a week now as the entire ITCZ moved South due to these few astro items.  I managed to do 25mins on Carina and confirm the EAF worked (like a dream).  Super simple to fit and just worked right out of the box.  Rain season should be over sometime next month....    I hope so.  Apart from that 25mins on Carina I haven't imaged since November.

Matt, I am hopeful that spring will be better than winter was. It’s hard to imagine it being worse.

Based on the WX forecast I am planning to go out to my SRO site this weekend. We will see if the forecast holds.  8^P

I was out there for a few days around the full moon to do some mowing and weed whacking and the sky was cloudy to partly cloudy the whole time I was there.  )^8

I need some quality dark sky time !!!!!

Here in NJ it was crystal clear last night. Forecast for tonight is even better, so I left everything hooked up for a change!

Hope you guys get some of this niceness out there soon!

Yeah, it can't get any worse than zero clear nights.  That's what it felt like anyway.  I swear I've only setup my equipment three times since November 1st.

Sorry...  but have plans to order some filters for the ASI533MC Pro and another drawer for the ZWO filter drawer setup.  So, that should be about a month ruined.  smile.gif

I just checked.  I have 10 nights of data since Nov 1, and at least one of those nights was a complete waste.

Snagged ~2.5 hours of very questionable data of the Leo Triplet last night before the clouds completely rolled in. This was my first time using the advanced sequencer and filter offsets. I like how you can loop through the LRGB unlike the simple sequencer (especially when you don't know when the clouds will come).

Filter offsets are da bomb for mono camera.  Like you said, shoot whatever filters you want and keep looping through that without losing time refocusing for every filter.

So far, I’m seeing perfectly clear skies forecasted for tonight.

Now if I remember how to work the scope is a different story.

Sorry for your plight Eric.  You know you're in good company though.  However, we too are forecasted to have clear skies tonight and tomorrow, albeit with poor seeing.  Alas its the whole cake and eat it too thing.

M101.  It's the largest galaxy in the sky and I'm only shooting at 287mm.  Galaxy season sucks for me.

Abysmal is the exact same word I use to describe this last year.  8^P

Yeah I'm not a fan.  Maybe that will change this year...
