My ZWO ASI 1600 MC Cool circa 2015 died.

 

Looking at the current offerings, I could not ignore the PlayerOne Poseidon C IMX 571 color camera.

 

I noticed that the FWC at gain 0 is listed as 71.7K, which is higher than the usual 50K. https://player-one-a...-cooled-camera/

 

Not sure what to make of it. Is this the industrial sensor version, or has this chip changed recently?

Someone discussed this recently.  I think it's the industrial sensor in that camera.

It is just a different readout mode. QHY and Touptek enable it, so far ZWO does not. Lower gain than "Low-Conversion Gain". The larger well comes with the expected increase in read noise.
