Apparently, it was just a huge misunderstanding. That's just how they clean telescopes in Texas. With guns. Fortunately the mirror was made out of fused silica.

Yes, we invited the folks from the light house down some months ago, seemed quite agreeable at the time, then we believe (know) someone stirred them up some frown.gif

I have had some exposure to the 6000 year universe age line of thinking, there are those who believe that what is seen through the telescope is the work of you know who who 'lives down below'. I actually knew some people who believed this in NM. They also believed in chemtrails.

 

Maybe that's what got your neighbor's panties in a wad. They are simply protecting you (and them) from the work of Evil.
