Please accept my apology if this post is in the wrong sub forum, I couldn't find a decent fit elsewhere and please, if this is a redundant post, I would be appreciative of a link to a similiar post.

I'm trying to gather a collection of DSO images, one from each US State, taken by Cloudy Night members.  Quality of image doesn't matter.

I'm close to retirement and I have a goal to capture a DSO in every US State, looking for inspiration to accomplish this ridiculous goal!

So what you are saying is you want to go to these states and photograph whatever a member here shares from their state that they photographed? That’s really cool and hope you can get them all! If I understand right, im in North Carolina, and here is M51 that I photographed recently :D

Sounds like a great quest but challenging. Here is a image of the Orion Nebula taken from New York. I live on Long Island so light pollution is an issue and I usually just try to image the brightest DSO's. Good luck in your retirement.

Here's one I did of the North America and Pelican nebulae with my GT81. Data captured at the end of my driveway in southern NJ (about 20 miles SE of Philly).

That's 2.25 hours of data from SHO filters.

Consider using Astrobin where you can search images by state.
