After about three weeks of constant cloud cover and rain, I was able to get my DSO rig outside and tested with NINA. While I did not get PHD2 working (focus issues), I was able to test autofocus with NINA and three-point alignment. Other than taking a few minutes to get RA and DEC correct, three-point alignment was straightforward.

After a couple of stumbles trying to just get a 60 second exposure of something, I was able to capture this (this is a screen grab of the photo and now I cannot find the original image on the imaging PC). It doesn't matter, it works and, right now, I am pleased with the result. Again, it's just a single 60 sec. exposure.

Congratulations on your first light!

Keep at it. It's a fun, at times frustrating, and rewarding hobby.

Heh... I did find the original (I was looking at it the whole time). Everything was so dim - I didn't realize how dim objects would be.

Here's the original brightened up a bit. Looks a lot better than that screenshot. Still not something I'd hang on my wall but still better: https://astrob.in/eo7cdv/0/
