I have a Sony A7IV and I want to dither, but APT doesn't support Sony cameras. I have a guide scope and guide camera (SVBony SV305 Pro) and I can do guiding, but I am not sure how to dither without a camera connection because how does the software know then when the exposure is over? It makes no sense to me, so I am asking if it is possible to dither with a Sony in any way.

Thanks!

You've hit the nail on the head: you can't reliably dither if the controlling software can't talk to the camera. There does exist a Sony ASCOM driver somewhere and APT might support that? If not, there's never a better time than now to switch to NINA which should work with it.

Looks like your A7IV should connect in APT, look here and here.
