just wondered what would be a worth while upgrade from my 414 ex ccd mono camera for dso imaging with  my ts optics 100mm quad and c8 edge scope,as this camera is getting on a bit thanks

IMX533 based camera or if you want APS-C size sensor then IMX571 based camera.

IMX533 has about 16mm (diagonal) size sensor and is about £1000 where as IMX571 is about 28mm (diagonal) and is about £2000 (color) or £2500 (mono). That's the main difference.

Of course there are older CMOS cameras but these two are the most popular choice these days.

thanks ,what difference would this make and how do i know which would be best for me using 1 1/4 filters on a ts optics 100mm quad and a c8 edge hd thanks

If you have 1 1/4 filters then IMX533 would be better fit.
For imx571 you would need bigger filters.
