Hi All,

Here  are some white light shots I obtained with my 4 inch refractor. The so called Wilson effect can be seen on spots near the apparent limb of the sun. Clicking on the images should give a bigger scale. Regards Larry

Nice shots Larry, you might try backing off the sharpening a tad to reduce the artifacts that can be produced such as the bright line on the limb and around the spots.

Ah,

I wondered what that was, I will try and be more circumspect when sharpening my images. Thank you so much for the advice. Some more images obtained today, some already saved, others to be completed. I suspect you will note the difference between the ones processed prior to me reading your comments and the ones afterwards.

(I cannot save the AVI files as it fills up my memory on my lap top too much).  Regards  Larry
