At Hyde Observatory (Lincoln, Nebraska) one night, we were showing the public the Pleiades when a couple claimed they were descendants from aliens that came from that star cluster.  We just sighed and went on explaining the nature of the Pleiades to the next person in line.  Clear skies to you.

There are lots of folks interested in Astrology at our pulic outreach events.

At least they know their zodiac constellations in order.

I let them wax on about the meaning of it all.

Hi, I’m an Aquarius with moon rising in Pisces and  I’m the Ultimate Humanitarian!

I've heard a few whoppers over the years at public events but nothing quite as mind-blowing as the infamous Time Cube.

Wow, that reads like a bad Allen Ginsberg poem.

I love to explain the long history of astrology and astronomy.

Lately I checked what was my real astronomical sign (where the sun was when I'm born) and discovered me and my twin brother are Ophiucus, a constellation that doesn't even exist in the astrological zodiac.

I don't know if this counts as a conspiracy, but I recently came across evidence for the man in the moon -- a giant footprint on the moon.

Yup, that is Gutenberg's "footprint" :-)
