Here is a guide to waste water organisms. I disagree with the suggested magnifications. I easily see these things with much less than they suggest.

Thanks that would be a fun project, if I soon feel like lifting a 80lbs concrete cover and bend in to collect a sample lol.

 

However it looks like a very fun project for my microscope that is collecting dust right now (The shroud is collecting dust,   at least)

You can find these same organisms in pond water, bird baths, mud puddles, fish tanks etc.
