Got my ST80 set up for some eclipse viewing next month. 

 

Also have 40 sets of eclipse glasses for my wife's 4th, 5th and 6th graders. I may not get to do any actual eclipse viewing myself but it will be fun to watch the kids experience one for the first time.

I'm about 240 miles from the 90% path so we will be about 80%.

Be sure to set up near some shade trees.  The hundreds of pinhole projections made between the leaves will be VERY beautiful and memorable.

I wonder if solar projection could damage the mirror's coatings or eyepieces coatings

I've not heard of mirrors being damaged but I cooked a Kellner EP real good...(I think it was the cement between the lens elements.)

If you don't have a tree nearby, a colander works pretty well for throwing neat shadow patterns.
