Putting 8se mount on old c8 tripod

Hey Guy! I have just recently bought an old orange c8. I am hoping to do some astrophotography with it, how hard is it to do so manually, it does have a wedge? If that is not much of an option, would it be possible to put an 8se mount on the c8 tripod, or do the screw holes not line up properly?

The holes should line up with the wedge.
