It was just announced that Annals of the Deep Sky volume 10 is off to the printer. They said that it should be available by mid November.

"...probably by mid-November," was the word when Volume 10 was announced.

Do we know what object appears on the cover? We've had galaxies and emission nebulae so far - how about a dark nebula?

I just did a quick search with SkyTools 4 and only got three targets in the four constellations covered by Volume 10 (Barnard, Lynd and Southern Dark Cloud catalogs).  LDN 1152 looks interesting (The Dark Scorpion), LDN 1157 and LDN 1642 (very hard to see even on Aladin).  I suppose there is a chance one of these will make it...

LDN 1152 looks like something out of Tolkein's imagination... or I suppose it'd be fairer to say that it's something that could have inspired him. It reminds me of his description of a Balrog -
'A figure strode to the fissure, no more than man-high yet terror seemed to go before it. They could see the furnace-fire of its yellow eyes from afar; its arms were very long; it had a red [?tongue]. Through the air it sprang over the fiery fissure. The flames leaped up to great it and wreathed about it. Its streaming hair seemed to catch fire, and the sword that it held turned to flame. In its other hand it held a whip of many thongs.'

Sweet, just ordered it! For it alone, shipping was $16, but it only went up by one dollar when I added Volume 6 plus 9 S&T issues for this month.

Volume 9 was still in my wish list, so there it goes my order for Vol 9 and 10. Somehow costly, but worthy.

I have already all the books from W-B that I wanted. Now, I only have to find the time to read them.

My congratulations to the Author and support team for the achievements so far, and my gratitude for making all that possible for all the public.

Just ordered.  Glad to see these notices on CN, but I miss the pre-publication notices from Willmann-Bell.

Exactly.  I used the notice postcards as book marks.
