I’m planning to use my ASIAIR to catch some Solar annular eclipse video for stacking.  I’ve successfully done single videos but have initiated each individual sequence.  I’ve looked all through the menus and can’t find a way to set up a series of automated shots like you can with capturing DSO long exposures using auto run or plan.  Is the ASIAIR capable of doing an automated sequence of videos and I’m just missing something?   I plan to run another setup with Firecapture but only have one laptop so need to use the second scope with the ASIAIR.  Thanks!

You can't automate video's like that with the ASIAIR unfortunately.

Ok.  That’s what I was afraid of but had hoped I was just missing something obvious.   Thanks!

You can with Firecapture.  You should not be wasting a lot of time capturing data with ASI's software in any case.  It has nowhere near the capabilities of Firecapture you'll never look back once you get it set up.

I’m using firecapture on one rig, and yes, it is much better.   I plan to run two rigs so I figured I’d use the Asiair on the second one.

You know FC has a toggle in settings to allow two copies of FC to run simultaneously. Works great. I’ve run two cameras on one laptop quite often without difficulty.
