A hello from Vietnam ! Here is our astronomy outreach for the International Observe the Moon Night. The event was held by Ho Chi Minh City Amateur Astronomy Club (HAAC) together with the aid of some students from University of Science Amateur Astronomy Club (USAC).

We publicly set up various telescopes in a park. The weather didn't cooperate at first but as soon as nightfall arrived the sky started to clear. The Moon could finally be seen behind some thin clouds. But we didn't just observe the Moon though; both Jupiter and Saturn were on our list. I even show people the double star Albireo. It was an extremely successful event and many people were blown away when they first see Saturn's ring, craters on the Moon and the 4 Galilean moons of Jupiter.

Thank you for your attention !!!

Awesome. I'm glad that the weather cleared up and you were able to effectively proselytize the faith. If I may ask, what is the story behind the signed equipment?

During the day it was cloudy with high chance of raining but it was indeed a miracle that the sky finally cleared up at night. I am always looking forward to an outreach like this one; seeing people's reaction is priceless.

kgb, that signed telescope was donated to us by IAU during the Telescope for All project. It is a Bresser 90mm f/10 refractor. The signs on it are the sign of 23 astronauts and Nobel Laureates.

Here is the link to the project: https://www.iau.org/...etail/ann20026/

Very nice.  Been to "Saigon" many times.  I loved it there even though in not the best circumstances.  I really loved the Vietnamese people I met in country.  I wish you all the best.  I love showing folks views from my scopes.  Keep up the good work.
