To be able reach focus with binoviewers natively without GPCs etc, and with any diagonal, I cut/shorten 9.5cm tubus.

Focuser in original setup is good.

After I lubticated it with Nyogen 767A in focuers mechanism, now focuer works fantastically, and its super strong, and no need of bottom locking screw at all.

Hi Denis,

nice set, I like this deep red color of the clamps🙂. About the reducer, based on my best knowledge this reducer also serves as a field corrector. It is astrophotography dedicated where the distance from the rear corrector lens to the camera matrix plane is strictly defined. Then it fulfills its role and correctly corrects the field curvature. However, when using bino, you will significantly increase this distance and cause deformations of the field plane. This effect will be most visible near the edge of the field of view. When building the Planetary Newton, I faced a similar difficulty. I found another solution that allowed me to compensate all the backfocus needed for bino. Finally after talking to Harry Siebert, I ordered a 1.0 and 1.3x optical path corrector, which works great. In your case, You will not need as advanced one as mine (can work with the Newtonian reflector and refractor). For You I think simpler one with mode 1.0 should be enough.

Kris
