I wanted to use a dedicated cmos camera with FMA 180/TPO Ultrawide. I can use a ZWO holder ring for ZWO's cooled cameras with a large diameter, but I want to try ZWO 585 or 678 for their small pixel size to avoid severe under-sampling. Mounting a guide scope, a CMOS camera and ASIAir along with FMA 180 is rather challenging. And, with EAF added to the mix, it's even more so.
Currently, my set up is made of ADM's DSLR dovetail mount, Orion's dual finder mount bracket and Idea Engineering's finder dovetail for DSLR .
To use a small ZWO CMOS camera (ZWO 585 or 678), I was thinking of going with a side-by-side mounting system. I kinda regret that I didn't get WO redcat 51 for which there are a lot of custom accessories available at Etsy. Also, FMA180 Pro comes with a much better mounting option than the original FMA180.
Today, I came across HyperPod mounting system for FMA180 that meets all of my mounting needs (guide scope, ASIAir, EAF). Right away, I ordered it. I'll report back once it arrives and I test it.
In the meantime, I thought it'd help those in the same shoe as I do to share this findings.
