I got 3rd edition of book "the Moon" 1885

what is interesting is that close in moon shots were done by photographs of plaster models

since film at that time was not good enough for the job.

Super cool! I love Nasmyth’s old images. They’re remarkably good for what they are.

Could you post a few more close pictures of your model, perhaps under a strong oblique light?
