Where can I find a high-quality, precision spanner wrench? I want to loosen the retaining ring on the front of my Questar 700, and possibly use it for camera lenses and eyepieces. The wrench I have now is so loose and imprecise that I can't even open the back of a wristwatch. I don't want to let it near my Questar.

Just look on Amazon under "Snap Ring Wrench".  Lots of choices.

This one is from a well known optics company.  I have used their older version for 20 years.  good stuff, durable, easy to use, won't deform under heavy use.

You can get the exact wrench for under $15.00. Look on Ebay and Amazon.
