1. Is This A Natural Rock ?

2. If It's Natural, What Kind Of Rock Is This ?

Have you tested it with a magnet? That would be my first suggestion.

Attraction to a magnet can be useful in the field to collect something that might be a meteorite, but is not a definitive diagnosis since there are so many iron-bearing types of terrestrial material.

This Big Rock Found ( Around 20 Kg ) In Condition Submerged 2/3 Of It's Body In To Soil. There Are Many Pieces Of Small / Medium Fragments Scatterred In Radius 100 Meters. If You Ask The Fragments Come Apart From This Big Rock Then  My Answer Will Be : I Don't Know.

But I Did Send One Fragment To Geologist. The Result Is :

Shape / Cut : Rough

Weight : 32 Gr

Color : Medium Dark Brown

Specific Gravity : 3.71

Hardness : 6.5 Mohs

Transparency : Opaque

Fluorescence : Inert

Luster : Dull

Enhancement : None

Characteristic : Massive - Abundant Tiny Spheres & Crust. Slightly Attracted To A Magnet Bar.

Seems like a fair analysis, but indeterminate. It describes aspects of the exterior appearance, but absolutely nothing about the composition. Without knowing anything about the chemistry, identification is difficult to be definitive.

My first thought is that it is slag, not a natural rock.

About Chemical Composition I Did Send  A Small Fragment To XRF Test.

But The Result Is " Impossible " To My Brain.

 

As I Said Earlier : If You Ask The Fragments Come Apart From This Big Rock Then  My Answer Will Be : I Don't Know.

Iron oxide, but no nickel. Not a meteorite. Likely slag, as Gary said.

Is There Any Other Conclusion Beside A Slag ? Or May Be It's A Lunar Rock ? Because I Just Read Some Articles About It. It's Said :

" ... Only Four Major Minerals Of Lunar Crust Which Are Plagioclase Feldspar, Pyroxene, Olivine, And Ilmenite - Account For 98 - 99 % Of The Crystalline Material Of The Lunar Crust. ( Material At The Lunar Surface Contains A High Proportion Of Non - Crystalline Material, But Most Of This Material Is Glass That Formed From Melting Of Rocks Containing The Four Major Minerals.)

The Remaining 1 - 2 % Is Largely Potassium Feldspar, Oxide Minerals Such As Chromite, Pleonaste, And Rutile, Calcium Phosphates, Zircon, Troilite And Iron-Nickel Metal. Any Other Minerals Have Been Identified, But Most Are Rare And Occur Only As Very Small Grains Interstitial To The Four Major Minerals And Cannot Be Seen With The Unaided Eye. "

Slag isn't a conclusion, just the most likely possibility. There's no indication of lunar origin, and a more detailed analysis would be required to be certain. Some of the surface appears remelted, but not a fusion crust.

Yes I Agreed With You

A Man Found A Piece Of Rock Weight Around 2,2 Kg. He Knows Nothing About Rocks But Curious About What He Found. After Searching All Over The Internet With So Many Informations All He Got Is More Questions Than An Answer And Severe Headache. But He Has Strong Indication That Rock Is Unusual May Be From Space And Want The Truth About It. This Man Is Very Sure That Rock Is Natural ( Not A Slag Or Man Made Thing ).

 

Please Guide Him Properly And Orderly Step By Step What The Best He Shoud Do About It.
