You know that old saying about teaching someone how to test their optics and they will never be satisfied. Give them a Zygo interferometer and a full optical shop and it’s much worse.

Don't need any of that. Jup at 70x per inch and a dead still nite tells me all i need to know.

Not if you are intent on refiguring the optics to 20th wave. You need to get a precise reading of the figure so you can touch it up. You put a Zygo in the hands of a compulsive perfectionist optician and they won’t be satisfied until they can’t make it better.

Would love to have a Zygo.   I would be testing everything.  However, a very expensive piece of equipment.

After a long time I hooked up the camera again.

Unfortunately, the seeing in this recording wasn't special. Approximately 6/10.
But when things are good for a short time, the view through the MN1212 is simply magnificent.

I no longer have any problems with cooling down since insulating.

This looks like an exquisitely rare scope! Congrats

I have a MN68 deluxe.  It too needed reflectix. I hope to use it a lot more in the near future.
