New to the Antlia Solar Discover series product is the Dualband Ha, CaK, and CaH filter assembly and its mini version, a filters assembly combined in a tube specifically designed for solar photospheric photography, which effectively provides better contrast and sharpness of the solar imaging - with more surface detail visible as a result; highlights detail of the Sunspot as well as provides higher contrast of the Solar Facula.

This complete assembly comes with a Antlia ERF filter, functions to block UV and IR light, and allows the desired wavelengths Ha 656.3nm,CaK 393.3nm, and CaH 396.8nm to pass through. In addition, necessary ND filter is already manufacture installed.

Product Features:
- New tube structure design is used for the Antlia Solar Discover Dualband filter assembly, installation is similar to the Antlia CaK 3nm Solar Herschel Wedge, with the telescope attached at one end and the camera at the another. The filters are assembled in a fully closed tube and the metal tube machined from aircraft aluminum CNN and oxidized. No stray light can escape from this.
- Compared to other solar reducing films, the Antlia Solar Discover Dualband filter assembly allows for higher contrast for solar imaging, excellent resolution of the Solar surface, and the assembly that is less prone to wear and tear, easier to use, and longer product lifespan.
- It can be directly used for solar photospheric imaging, such as sunspots.
- 1.25" and 2" Adapters
The Antlia Solar Discover Dualband Ha, CaK and CaH filter assembly combines the 1.25'' and 2'' adapter used in astrophotography for easier and faster connection of telescopes and cameras. The standard version is compatible with both 1.25'' and 2'' adapters, while the mini version is designed with 1.25'' adapter.

Product Installation Diagram
If you need to use a zenith mirror in your solar imaging system, a ERF filter must be installed, as shown on Operational Installation Diagram.Important Notes:

Important Notes
-Disassembly of the assembly is prohibited and voids warranty. Any repair/returns/exchange
for this item is not accepted once it has been disassembled.
- Never use the Antlia Solar Discover Dualband assembly by itself for observing solar, otherwise irreparable eye damage will result.
- Only for use with REFRACTORS up to 100mm aperture

Due to different batches, the mini version will have 2 appearances, the function and installation are the same.

-Warranty: 3-years

If I wanted to use these filters on a 127mm refractor, I would need the Dualband ERF filter (probably the 130mm0 at the top of the scope plus an individual eyepiece filter and if I use a diagonal I would need nothing else (of course an eyepiece or camera at the end)? Do these filters show prominences or just surface detail. Any images yet?

It is the filter used in conjunction with Antlia Solar Discover 3nm CaK, Solar Discover 5A CaK or similar product(with etalon) of other brands to protect your solar imaging equipments from high temperature and bandpass shifting by rejecting massive heat before it enters telescope when imaging and observing solar.

This is the sun captured using GSO CC8(8" f/12) and Antlia dualband ERF D200mm with different equipment.

Hi, I am really interested to purchase the 2" DualBand (CaK, CaH and Ha) but so far not a single picture of what can be achieved using this filter (only) is available. It is pretty low price and tempting to start with solar imaging, but even the advertising is poor on its performance. Also, not clear to me if an Herschel wedge is needed (mandatory), or other filtering is required on the front lens. Does anybody know more about it?

DualBand assembly do not require additional Herschel prisms and can be used directly for shooting.
