Hello everyone, Yesterday i went to my local garden center because the have big steel boxes full of stones from a region in the Netherlands and i am always on the look for weird and unusual rocks. I took this one because the structure was weird. And later when i cleaned the mud off i saw rusty metal. Is this a meteorite or earth rock.

 

I have take a chunck of with a hammer see last photo.

yes there are pieces of metal in it and those attract a magnet, the stone itself does not attract a magnet.

Please read the rites and wrongs post at the top of the space rocks forum posted by lee14 a couple years ago , then you might not get your hopes up so often . Known ,  “strewn fields “ are the best places to look not the steel box at a garden centre . Maybe even downstream of a known strewn field would yield positive results . Like the Tagish Lake recovery from a few years ago , look on any frozen lake for rocks on top of ice , best chance for a positive result. 
Admire your exuberance but too many false positives become monotonous. Try your hand at locating micrometeorites ,  better chance of an actual find .

 Do not believe that is a meteorite so earth rock .

I am sorry, but i am a meteorite enthausiastic and thats why i post so much. But i am no troll i can assure you that. This rock turn out to be a stone slagg.
