hello

is heavy light pollution, let's say Bortle 8, an insurmontable obstacle for photometry and/or spectrography ?

in other words

if you  increase the integration time , even by splitting your session in two or more nights, can you expect to get about the same results as under a dark sky ?

More or less you just need more integration for SNR(so time limited things like transits, will suffer), however in slit spectroscopy you need different calibration to remove light pollution from your spectrum.
