Why all that weight?
Chas, the Turrett, the 4 eyepieces and the not shown due to the angle, the 50mm finder scope, and the moonlight focuser

O ok. I just use the one big weight on my C102. But if i had 4 big Nags hanging off the back i would need more weight.

Some pictures of the Celestron and Vixen scopes I’ve owned listed above. Can’t find a pic of the Vixen 80, but here are the others:
GP-C102
SP-C102F

here are my 2 Vixens ; FL90S and FL80S fluorites .
I love comparing views or sticking my camera in one while viewing in the other . while viewing with these 2 , I usually go wide in the 80mm with the 2" focuser and zoom tighter in the 90mm .

New refractor guy here, with my list of one - but it's a good one!
While waiting on a GP mount purchased from forum member, font of knowledge and all-around nice guy jkmccarthy, here's Hoss, an NP-102E, on a complaining Polaris mount in my open observatory, i.e. terrace As my wife says, "That looks like a real telescope".

I have owned just two Vixen telescopes.
Many, many years ago (hence the scan of an old 35mm print !) I owned a Vixen-made Bresser Uranus 102mm F/9.8 achromat which was of course the Vixen SP102M in a matt black colour scheme. Note the large green "brick" which was the Sky Sensor Mk 2 hand controller:
About 17 years ago I purchased a lovely, pre-owned, Vixen ED102SS and I still have that one !:

I have 3- Celestron C4.5's, , A Firstscope 80 Altaz, A SPC-80, A SPC-6 and a SPC-102. I love the Black Vixen Scopes, If I didn't have a AP 130 Gran Turismo, I would go after a SPC102F,or GPC102F also.

Welllll, seeing this makes it hard to think about selling my handsome R-200SS in original box & many accessories. It is unused by me as of now in the Bedroom. Need to do the mount.
