I hope this request is ok here. I have bought for a reasonable price a very old Baader 93690 binoviewer, which I read in CN is actually Leitz based. It is the same as in https://www.cloudyni...-bino-with-ocs/

It was badly miscollimated and prisms are dirty.

After several attempts I have been able to collimate it. I have slightly loosened the four little screws hidden behind each of the eyepiece holders (in such a way that it can be slowly moved with the eyepiece inside) and I have aligned the binoviewer looking at an artificial star with a Baader Microguide eyepiece, putting the Microguide alternatively on the two eyepiece holders, aligning the artificial star in the center. Then I have fixed again the screws. It has worked well. Collimation is now perfectly ok with 6mm eyepieces (therefore 250/6=42x eyepieces).

But now I would like to clean the prisms. In order to do that I would need to open it, like Denis Levatic did in https://www.cloudyni...ewer/?hl=+leitz

Someone could please explain me how to open it? I do not need to umount prisms, I simply want to clean them, hopefully without umounting them.

Thank you very much in advance.
