Hello All ... what is the best software out there for aligning and stacking these days -- specifically, long-lens Corona subs between C2 and C3?  Photoshop, Helicon, Affinity, Pixinsight, Astro Pixel Processor?  Thanks for your insights and recommendations

Processing solar eclipse images (specially if you have a lot of them to process) is a bit of an "open" subject.

I still use Autostakkert (version 4.0.11 is current release).  For full disk use can treat the Sun like a planet.  For close up, use surface mode and treat it like imaging the Moon.  Seems to work great.

Doesn't Autostakkert produce a combined single image result?    It would be great to create individual frames registered on the solar corona.

 

Field rotation has to be corrected.   Does Autostakkert do that?
