 The Lion Nebula (Ngc2392 )

On the evenings of Febuary 8th from midnight  until 2:00 am I was able  to see an amazing view of the Lion Nebula through The Superb 28" Slipstream Telescope using the Televue  3.7 110° SX eyepiece, also using the 6 - 10 mm.100° Ethos eyepieces which provided some of the Best views of this obcect.Sketched on white copy paper with number 2 pencil blended with stubs uploaded to Procreate, finished in Photoshop Express.

Thanks for looking.

Clear Skies Always Jon

Awesome view and great rendering Jon! Wow it's a rare night indeed when the 3.7 mm eyepiece comes out, what a treat.

Seeing must have been fabulous! What magnification did that come to? 381x is the best I’ve ever gotten to on that one. I did manage the central star and the two shells but not nearly as crisp as this. Beautiful rendering Jon. The subtle coloring is perfect!

I’ve had some pretty good views of this in my C14 from suburban locations at 350x but not this good. You get extra points for carrying around a 28” wherever you go.
