I was quite fortunate to have a view of this comet recently. When twilight approached there was still a thick cloud layer that covered most of the sky but low in the western horizon everything was clear.
I focused my scope on Jupiter and then easily found the star Hamal in Aries. Checked Stellarium again for the comet and had a look through my 80mm scope. I started seeing a faint fuzzy glow nearby; sandwiched between a mag 4 Lambda Arietis and mag 2 Hamal. I noticed it's bluish in color and the nucleus looked like a tiny star embedded within the coma. No tail was detected possibly because of the heavy light pollution.
But still I am very happy to finally see this icy friend; I have tried and failed 3 times before that.
Sketching was done at 12x of magnification. The bluish hue is supposed to represent the twilight sky seeing through the scope because at the time I saw the comet the sky hadn't completely dark yet. The bright orange in the top left corner is Hamal.
Thank you for reading and Clear Sky
