Well done. If my partner could do long car trips, we would have taken off for Vermont or Maine, but it’s just too hard for her.

The trip convinced me to have prostate surgery I have been putting off.

I was in Russellville, AR and got some pretty good views of the eclipse. I knew the traffic would be bad returning to my hotel so I took some back roads instead. I was truly impressed with the rural landscape and rivers in Arkansas and SE Oklahoma - just beautiful. Anyway it was an unanticipated benefit of traveling somewhere I'd never been before to view an eclipse.
