Here is a rough draft of one of my images from the TSP event in Aquilla, TX.

I have lots of data to go through and there is great potential, but it'll have to wait until I get home.  Unfortunately, I do have some higher priorities, with it may be a week or two before I can get to it.

There were both high and low level clouds covering the sun on and off for the entire partial time before totality.  They parted at the last minute, and we got 4 and half minutes of glorious totality.

What an awesome day!

One more, a quick montage of the eclipse, from 40% to 40%.  Nikon D7100, 300mm f4, ISO 400, f11, various exposures.  Hamilton, Ontario.

It was hazy where I was at in Kirby, AR. And we were real tight on space on this trip, so no scope and mount. But I did manage to get a few shots with my DSLR. Looks OK, but not like our view through binoculars. That was amazing.

Amazing pictures in this thread! Here are a couple of mine.

If anyone's interested in a tutorial on how to create a totality HDR image, I made one here last week: https://www.youtube....h?v=8pnV7VP6Oaw

I plan on recreating it again with my newly acquired data.

Compressed the picture to heck and back to get it to fit on CloudyNights, but I'm super happy that I was able to see the eclipse through clouds in Erie, PA today - let alone get a decent picture of it!!

I had zero expectations for any of my pictures to look even remotely decent, so I'm pretty happy with the results. Pics were taken with a Canon 6D and a 200mm telephoto lens, pics were cropped but otherwise untouched.

I was able to get some images about 18 miles north of Eagle Pass, Texas in spite of cloudiness.

Taken with a Pentax K-5 with a zoom lens at 300mm.

Your Diamond Ring image is a money shot, well done!

We got lucky, locate  Mount Pleasant, tx.

tell me more about that seestar? I wondered how gimmicky those smart scopes are, but for an all in one, they seem to make some darn decent pics. Not even really using the price as a comparison lol.

Also for others, most of the pics thru clouds still look perfect... the extra cloud effect near gives it a cool different effect as well.

Dallas, TX (from my back yard near downtown)

Canon 600D attached to ZWO FF107 w/reducer (~550 FL) on top of AM5 Mount (that had been polar aligned the previous night).  The camera was controlled via SETnC.  Will see what else I can find as I shift through the hundreds of photos taken via 3 different cameras/scopes.

Very little processing to adjust the colors.

West Frankfort City Park Illinois near the end of the eclipse. The massive prominence was awesome to see just visually,  a bright reddish pink radiance among the white glow of the Corona. Here is a raw image from a video frame shot near the end of the eclipse thru my 8 inch dobsonian, 32mm plossl, afocal on an iPhone7.
