Hi everyone,

I present my TSE sketch from Eagle Pass, Texas.  The day started out terribly cloudy but then broke in places to show the partial phases and then, magically, totality. Like in 2017 I felt almost speechless but managed an audio recording of where the proms were located and that Venus made an appearance (not to scale in the sketch). The details of the corona were not visible in the cloudiness but I still felt very fortunate.

thanks for looking,

Cindy

 Hi Cindy,

A wonderful sketch for a perfect record of where you were on this day and what you were doing.

I was not on the path of totality due to circumstances beyond my control.

Love it. Great to see this here.

Well done, Cindy! You made lemonade from the lemony clouds handed you. I feel like I'm there looking up at the eclipse with you.

Thanks very much Frank, Jon, Michael, and Tom. Its one of those experiences you just feel like you need to commit to paper afterwards. And thanks everyone for the likes.

Cindy, I love the way you captured the clouds in this sketch! This is one of the best depictions I’ve seen of the eerie, otherworldly glow of totality.

I totally understand what you mean when you say “you just feel like you need to commit to paper afterwards”. Totality is such an immensely striking event, it really gets those creative juices flowing (even in less artistic folk like me!)

Best,
Alex
