Disappointed is really setting in as my plans for deep coronal imaging were ruined by the high level clouds.  Just from my initial processing of this muck filled sky, I can tell that I would've been able to get some really spectacularly deep photos of the background sky and corona if it was perfectly clear.  But, you can't win them all, and i am very grateful I had clear skies at all given the poor weather.

But that said, I was able to coax out four of the brightest planets - Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus as well as a few other bright stars in between some of the clouds.

This was a stack of about 10 images from Sony a7iv and Sony 24mm f1.4 and processed in Photoshop.

Sharpening was added to the planets and stars to emphasize them a bit more.

Thanks for looking!

Dan

Very cool shot. This is one of those shots that I axed in favor of not overloading myself during my first totality, but it's really neat to see. Yeah, the clouds cost you some corona, but at least they're a fun addition of color and texture.
