I bought a new eq6r pro with wifi.
I polar align on polaris.
But when I try to use the manual directional buttons on the app it moves but in random direction.. certainly not the direction on the button. Please help.. am I just stupid?

When you are aligned on the celestial north pole, both RA and Dec will give the appearance of moving the same way. Rotate your OTA 90° pointing either east or west and you will see the difference.

I also have the EQ6-R pro with the wifi dongle so if you’re still in the process of doing your polar alignment, you will need to manually move your mount to the next object you selected to continue the process. My mount will not move at all using the app until this next step is complete using the 2 or 3 star alignment process within the app. I hope this helps.
