LX200GPS  POLAR MOUNTED PROPERLY BALANCED (slightly east/nose heavy)

A new problem has popped up.

A quick press in the east direction on the handset, mount will keep moving for several seconds.

Tracking seem to stop then slowly picks back up.

Some GOTO's never finish, the mount just slowly moves e/w but never finishes.

 Any thoughts?

Could be the worm is climbing on the wheel gear, then settling back in. The worm is spring-loaded and needs a little clearance, but not too much.  Check for the clearances and if any screws came loose.  Might also be a sign it is time to re-grease the worm drive.
